COLOR INSPIRATION- Lemon Sorbet

Lemon Sorbet

It’s so fun to see what the paint companies predict will be the next big thing, although we know they’re in part just trying to make us feel like our spaces are dated so we’ll buy new paint!

This year Benjamin Moore announced Lemon Sorbet (color #2019-60) as the 2013 color of the year. As BM said Lemon Sorbet is the “common denominator” in a collection of color combinations, it recommends for use on walls, trim and accents.  This subtle and quiet yellow actually goes with everything. Lemon Sorbet pairs nicely with many shades of white, cream and black, greys and soft blue-green…

Overall, BM predicts a switch from the saturated colors that have been popular for quite some time colors are trending toward the pastels, as they convey innocence and typically have a calming influence.

An important thing to remember with this color (as with any other) is to not overdo, as it can become too much of a good thing. Also, nothing says Lemon Sorbet has to be used as the main color in a room; it can be used as accents in small doses instead.
