A LITTLE GIRL DREAM

It all started with a Little Girl room makeover…. needed to add color to the room; she had two wooden-color chairs in the room. And there was an old side table sitting in the garage that would be a perfect match…
We decided to reuse and refinish furniture with spray paint. See how it turned out...If You are a DIY person, you can try yourself...

First, filled any holes or scratches in the furniture with spackling (here used DryDex spackling) and sanded the entire piece, after the spackling dried; roughing up the surface helps the paint stick better.

Primer-this step is optional, but I would still advice to do. Especially painting a dark piece of furniture a lighter color, it cuts down on the coats of paint A LOT. Here used Kilz primer.  Let it dry for at least 24 hours.

Now, time to paint. We used Krylon satin spray paints, wild flower blue, aqua blue and warm yellow. Important: several light coats is way better than a couple thick coats. I decided to add a coat of polyurethane to add an extra layer of protection with Wipe-On Poly. Here are the chairs and table after several light coats of paint:

And here is the final product (the Little Girl loves it and that what counts most!)
