So, summer is on its way out, and fall is on its way in. I, for one, am not ready to let the warm days go. But thanks to New York Fashion Week, which is going on as we speak, I can skip over fall and winter entirely and look straight at trends for spring 2012. I must say, I like what I'm seeing.
A favorite trend is the combination of oranges and reds with pink. Oranges and reds are ubiquitous fall colors, and many people like to inject a few subtle color season in their decor. This year, why not take a cue from fashion's top dogs and add a jolt of pink to your mix of autumnal colors? The color combo will keep you warm and festive through the dark days of winter, (unless you love winter and don't find the days dark), and it will still be fresh and on-trend come spring!

Much like this look from Vivienne Tam, one bright color takes center stage, while other tones are muted in comparison. A similar look is easy to achieve without breaking the bank. It's all about accessories in this space, from framed pictures to fresh flowers to a snappy lamp and doodads on the console.
