EMERALD....color of the year 2013

Each year the major paint companies present different color for each year. For 2013 Benjamin Moore's choice is a warm pastel, Lemon Sorbet. Sherwin-Williams is opting for vintage nostalgia with its Aloe pick.

Pantone choose the color of the year 2013 to be emerald green-

Lively. Radiant. Lush… A color of elegance and beauty 

that enhances our sense of well-being, balance and harmony."

Emerald is a hue taken directly from nature. What I find most interesting about using emerald in home decor is its split personality — it can create contemporary mood, and then it can transform into a glamorous diva at a moment's notice. 
It happens that green is my favorite color! I love it, love it, love it (btw- emerald is still on my wish list…)
